Decaffeinated espresso

Caffeine is a natural ingredient in coffee. It has been appreciated since time immemorial for its stimulating properties, because it prolongs alertness and increases concentration. In certain circumstances an excess of caffeine may cause nervousness and sleeping problems. This is why special procedures have been developed to drastically reduce the caffeine content in coffee. The quality of a decaffeinated espresso depends largely on the procedures used to extract the caffeine without extracting the substances that produce the aromas. Másalto uses a rinsing procedure with water, a gentle method that acts slowly so as not to lose the exceptional properties of the grains selected for our espresso.
