The balance of a great character
A great espresso is a great character: the perfect balance between strength and subtlety, between bitterness and acidity. And this balance needs to remain constant in its expression. This is why Másalto places such great importance on the selection of the beans and respect for traditional growing methods that adapt to the complexity of the plant, to the constraints of the environment and the fluctuations of the climate. But the secret of a great espresso also lies in the precise processes that are used to transform it and package it. From the selection of beans, roasting, packaging, to the design of the cup - nothing is left to chance.
The secrets behind the quality of Másalto
- Másalto is a blend of 100% arabica grown at altitude.
- The coffee beans selected are grown between 1500 and 2000 m.
- 100% very hard beans.
- The green coffee beans are selected according to their maturity and size.
- The roasting is an alchemical process that transforms the flesh of the fruit into subtle aromas. Másalto has chosen a slow traditional method that is based on roasting limited quantities so that each grain is given the appropriate amount of roasting time.
- Our packs are fitted with a very high quality valve which preserves the freshness of the coffee. They are pressurised via an injection of nitrogen, a natural gas which prevents the aroma from fading.
- The art of serving coffee is also an integral part of our passion for espresso. This is why sharing knowledge is an essential aspect of our mission. Our experts are not satisfied with simply monitoring the quality all the way to the cup; they also want to share their passion with you.
- It is at the end of a long journey therefore, that this coffee finally offers itself up for the pleasure of lovers of unique and authentic coffee. The cup is the ultimate vessel: each detail has been studied to bring harmony between the aesthetic aspect and the tactile; the lips or the hand.
